[Case Study] Recovery and Circulation Filtration of Floating Oil with Self-Priming Pump

Using an existing self-priming pump to collect floating oil!

●Recovery of floating oil using a self-priming pump "I would like to recover floating oil using an existing self-priming chemical pump (from another manufacturer)." To meet the customer's request, we modified the float of our floating oil recovery skimmer and delivered it. We attached a custom-made suction inlet and hose attachment to the float, which is floated on the target water, enabling the recovery of oil using a self-priming pump. We were able to meet the request for "as low cost as possible," resulting in a satisfactory outcome for the customer. ●After transfer, filtration and circulation process The user originally had a self-priming filter from Company W, but with the expansion, it became necessary to recover the floating oil in the newly added tank. They were considering reusing the existing self-priming filter (pump) for the expansion to reduce initial costs. However, due to the high price of the float (parts only) from Company W, they consulted with us, and after thorough specification discussions, our solution was adopted.

[Data] Summary of Self-Priming Fluids with High Viscosity and Sanitary Properties

Introducing the fluids actually self-primed by a self-priming pump! Methods for self-priming with high viscosity and sanitary specifications are also included.

In the pump transfer operation, IN/OUT is essential. Broadly speaking, there are submersible pumps and surface pumps, but submersible pumps mainly operate while submerged in the fluid, so they generally do not have self-priming capabilities. On the other hand, self-priming pumps are mostly found in surface pumps, and they are equipped with check valves or mechanisms that serve that purpose near the pump's interior or suction inlet. Pumps that have the ability to draw in fluid are collectively referred to as self-priming pumps. This document summarizes fluids that were actually self-primed by H2's self-priming pumps, as well as fluids that can operate under conditions close to self-priming. Please take a moment to read it. [Contents (partial)] ■ Machine oil ■ Ceramic slurry ■ Polymer coagulants *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Learning about pumps and fishing with Mitsuwa Man.

An unexpected commonality between fishing and pumps! It's important to monitor pumps for any abnormalities as well.

Saburo: "Listen! Today I went fishing with my dad, and we caught a lot of fish." Mitsuwa Man: "Wow, that's amazing! What did you catch?" This time, we learned about the surprising similarities between fishing and pumps. Just like waiting for fish to bite, there is a type of pump called a self-priming pump that can draw up water. We also learned that, just as it's important to patiently watch the fishing rod, it's crucial to monitor the pump for any abnormalities. *For more details on the column, you can view it through the related links. Is the pump weak against air!?

Water pumps are sensitive to air! For tank extraction, a self-priming pump is recommended.

In a factory, when using water, there are cases where a hose is connected to a tank to draw water and send it to another location. This is where the pump comes into play, but in such cases, there can be troubles such as "suddenly stopping the water supply." This time, we will introduce the causes of such cases and their solutions. *For detailed content of the column, you can view it through the related links.
